With a large portion of the population suffering from daily anxiety, it’s important to be able to identify its symptoms and have an effective coping strategy in place. I’ve found that certain podcasts not only help reduce and ward off attacks or anxious thoughts but have helped me learn more about the condition and how to keep anxiety from affecting my life.
Part of controlling anxiety is understanding it and being able to conceptualise the chemical reactions occurring in your brain and finding new ways to ease the anxiety. If you’ve suffered from this then you’re well aware of how crippling it can be and how difficult it can make even the simplest tasks. The following 5 podcasts can support in easing your daily anxiety and tackle different topics from a range of different people who share their experiences and practices.
Therapy for black girls
Therapy for Black Girls website and podcast is an online space dedicated to encouraging the mental wellness of Black women and girls. The platform is founded and hosted by Dr Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia. Bradford hosts an inspiring weekly podcast on all things mental health-related, made especially for black women. Her podcast episodes help ease anxiety and tackle topics including how to build confidence, prompts for mindfulness journaling and how to deal with anxiety around the pandemic.

Untangle focuses on different forms of meditation. The guests and experts on the podcast are encouraging and offer advice to people struggling to motivate themselves. Experts and guests share stories about how mindfulness practices have changed their lives. Hear experiences from business leaders, psychologists, neuroscientists, nutritionists, authors, mindfulness teachers, storytellers and more. The podcast covers everything from why it’s important to meditate to how self-compassion practices change us from the inside out and to why meditation helps with anxiety in adults and kids.
The Anxiety Coaches
The anxiety Coaches podcast is hosted by Gina Ryan, an Anxiety Coach and Nutritionist who struggled with general anxiety, panic and agoraphobia for over 20 years. On her own, prior to the internet, she was able to climb out of her anxiety, finding her personal peace and well being by trial and error. When she finally pieced together what really worked by using her professional knowledge of nutrition and personal understanding of prayer and meditation she was able to string together one anxiety free day after another until she couldn’t even remember her last panic attack. Gina invites guests to share their personal experiences with mental health challenges and also speaks to professionals to help listeners ease their anxiety.
Not Another Anxiety Show
Hosted by Kelli Walker, a registered nurse, certified health and wellness coach. Not Another Anxiety Show is a resource to learn more about anxiety, panic attacks and stress. Whether you’re a bit overwhelmed or feeling extremely anxious, Kelli delves into what anxiety really is and how you can find a way out of its tight grip. Joined alongside other experts, Kelli keeps conversations casual while offering practical tips, advice, and simple guidance to overcome anxiety.
